DET
Pass in 10th examination from Board of School Education, Haryana, or equivalent examination from a recognized board/ university with 35% marks. (Subject to change by State Govt. decision if any)

BASIS OF ADMISSIONS: The admission to diploma courses will be on the basis of DET - 10 Ranks based on inter-se Merit of DET - 2011

For candidates obtaining equal marks in DET - 2011 merit, the candidate with higher marks in Math will be placed at higher Rank. If the candidate has same marks in Math, the candidate having higher marks in science will be placed at higher Rank. For the candidate having same marks in science, the candidate having higher marks in English will be placed at higher Rank For the candidate having same marks in English the senior in age will be placed at higher Rank. For the Candidate having same marks in English the candidate having high marks in General Awareness and Aptitude will be placed at higher rank. For candidate having same marks in general Awareness and Aptitude, senior in age will be placed at higher rank.
DET (L)
All those candidates who have passed ITI at least with one year (who passed 10th level school leaving examination before admission to ITI courses), 10+2 (vocational) or 10+2 with PCM would be eligible for consideration for lateral entry in the session 2011-12 in various Diploma Engineering courses only as per the compatibility of the courses as mentioned below.
Candidates who have appeared/ are appearing in the qualifying ITI or 10+2 with PCM or 10+2 vocational examination to be held during current session shall also be eligible to apply for admission and would be physically admitted but they shall obtain the requisite qualification before the last date of admission.

BASIS OF ADMISSIONS: : Admission of the candidates to the Diploma level courses under the lateral entry scheme who fulfills all other conditions for admission shall be made on the basis of merit in their entrance examination DET(L) - 2011.On the basis of rank obtained DET(L) - 2011, candidates will have to participate in Online Off-campus counseling by NIC on www.tehadmissions.gov.in for final seat allotment, after paying counseling fee of Rs.500/- at www.HSTES.org / www.HSTES.in failing which candidate will not be entertained for counseling.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: : For the students from ITI getting admission in lateral entry in diploma stream i.e. in 2nd year, they will have to undergo course in Applied Science I in 3rd semester and II in 4th semester in addition to prescribed course of III and IV Semester of diploma. Exemption may be accorded by the Board depending upon the branch in which they are admitted for e.g., in case any student has studied Engg. Drawing at 10 + 2 level, he may be exempted from examination of Engg. Drawing. The Board will prescribe curriculum for these additional courses.

At institution level, these additional subjects will be taught either after the institutional hours or on the weekend.

Admission In Diploma Pharmacy(Including candidates applying under Kashmiri Migrants &    Tution Fee Waiver quota)

Two Years Duration-(Annual Courses), Entry qualification: 10+2 from Board of School Education, Haryana, or equivalent examination from a recognized board/university with 50% (45% in case of reserved category i.e SC). (Subject to change by State Govt. decision)

For TFW Scheme of AICTE 5% more seats are reserved for economically weaker section in all institutions approved by the council. These seats are supernumary in nature shall be filled online on the basis of merirt.

Pass with 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category i.e SC) from a recognized Board/University in any of the following examination with pass in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics.

Intermediate examination in science.

First year of the three years degree courses in science.

Regular 10+2 examination only in science academic stream.

12 years Higher Secondary Education Board Exam (Science academic stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology) of Higher Secondary Education Board, Nepal.

Pre-degree exam., or any other qualification approved by Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examination.

Original copies to be produced for verification at the collection centre.

One seat in each institution in reserved for Kashmiri Migrants for Diploma (Pharmacy). These seats are to be filled up on supernumary basis by Haryana State Counciling Society.

For TFW Scheme of AICTE 5% more seats are reserved for economically weaker section in all institutions approved by the council. These seats are supernumary in nature shall be filled online on the basis of merirt.

Order of merit shall be decided on the basis of percentage of aggregate marks obtained in qualifying exam in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics and English. However, for candidates obtaining equal marks in qualifying exams. The candidate with higher marks in chemistry will be placed at the higher merit. If the candidate has same marks in Chemistry, the candidate having higher marks in Physics will be placed at the higher merit. For the candidate having same marks in Physics, the candidate having heigher marks in Math/Bio will be placed at the higher merit, If the candidate has same marks in Math/Bio, the candidate having higher marks in English will be placed at higher merit. If the candidate has same marks in English, the senior in age will be placed at higher merit.

 Candidate have to participate in online counseling by NIC through www.tehadmissions.gov.in.


Admission In Diploma Management (Including candidates appling under Kashmiri Migrants (KM) quota & Tution Fee Waiver (TFW) quota)

This Admit Card is already given in your prospectus. Candidate just needs to fill the details like Roll No., Seat No., and Examination Centre etc. in this Admit Card and can use this for appearing in Entrance exam.

  • Question Paper: There will be a composite Question Paper of One hour and 40 minute duration consisting of 100 objective type multiple choice questions of 1 mark each having equal distribution of English, Aptitude and General Awareness Test, Mathematics, Science
  • Question Booklet will be both in English and Hindi with multiple-choice questions.
  • Answer marked in more than one circle shall not be awarded any mark.
  • THERE WILL BE NO NEGATIVE MARKING FOR THE WRONG ANSWERS

  • Syllabus: 10+2 (Standard) of Haryana Board of School Education.
  • Question Paper: There will be a composite Question Paper of 100 minutes duration consisting of 100 objective type multiple choice questions of 1 mark each having equal distribution of English, Aptitude & General Awareness, Mathematics, Science
  • The candidate will be given a test booklet containing questions and the answer – sheet as per schedule before the exam starts. During this period, the candidates should read the instructions and fill all the required particulars correctly in the test booklet.

For private unaided institutions

For private unaided institutions

The private institutes have voluntarily opted admissions of 75% of total sanctioned intake in their institutes for filling by the candidates belonging to residents of Haryana. These shall be distributed as under :-
i) 25% of total sanctioned intake shall be filled by Private Polytechnics.
ii) Balance 75% seats shall be filled by NIC.

  • 15% of total sanctioned seats for All India Category (11.25% of sanctioned intake)
  • Half of the balance 63.75% seats for Haryana residents categories as spelt out in Admission Brochure (31.87% of sanctioned intake)
  • Half of these balance 63.75% seats shall be made available for reserved categories of Haryana in the ratio as specified by Govt. of Haryana in case of Govt./Aided.
    • 20% for SC (i.e. 12.74% of sanctioned intake)
    • 16% for BCA (i.e. 10.18% of sanctioned intake).
    • 11% for BCB (i.e. 7% of sanctioned intake)
    • 3% for PH (i.e. 1.9 % of sanctioned intake)

ESM/ FF/their wards

  • 1% horizontal from General Candidates of Haryana. (i.e. 0.30% of sanctioned intake)
  • 1% horizontal from SC (i.e. 0.12% of sanctioned intake)
  • 1% horizontal from BC(i.e. 0.17 % of sanctioned intake)

25% horizontal reservation in all above categories shall be provided for girl candidates.
Seat Matrix shall be displayed before the start of counseling.

Note:

  • Change, if any, shall be applicable at the time of counseling
  • One seat in each institution is reserved for J & K migrants for Diploma(Engg.), Diploma(Pharmacy & Management). These seats are to be filled up on supernumrary basis by Haryana State Technical Education Society through separate advertisement.
  • For Diploma(Engg): One seat in each branch in each Polytechnics is reserved for each topper of Govt. Schools of Haryana and shall be filled on the inter-se merit of 10th class through manual counseling.
  • 03 seats for three year diploma(Engg) course in printing technology at Northern Regional Institute of Printing and Technology, Taliargang, Allahabad-U.P. These seats along with any other seats if allotted by MHRD for Polytechnics in other state(s) the same are to be filled on the basis of merit of DET - 10 only by H.S.C.S through open advertisement.
  • 50% of total seats at GP Uttawar for Diploma(Engg.) and Diploma(Pharmacy & Management) are horizontally reserved for resident of Mewat area only. The admissions for these seats shall be made on the basis of DET merit by the Principal of GP Uttawar through open advertisement.
  • In case of Diploma(Engg): 10 seats at SJP Damla are horizontally reserved for resident of Damla village, 12 seats at GP Sanghi are horizontally reserved for resident of Sanghi Village, 10 seats at GP Lisana are horizontally reserved for resident of Lisana Village, 4 seats at GP Chikha are horizontally reserved for resident of Chikha Village. The respective Principals of these Polytechnics shall make the admissions for these horizontally reserved seats on the basis of DET - 10 merit only through open advertisement.
  • If the number of seats in any particular category is not a round figure, 0.5 or above will be taken as one and less than 0.5 shall be ignored, except that in Physically Handicapped, Children and Grand-children of Freedom Fighters and Ex-Servicemen and their Wards Categories, at least one candidate will be admitted from all the vhree #ategories in total, even if the share is less than 0.5 seats provided the number of sanctioned intake in the particular course is 30 or above.
  • Number of reserved seats shall not exceed more than 50% of the State Quota Seats.
  • Inter conversion of sub-categories in the reserved categories of Haryana shall be made before 2nd Phase counseling. The vacant seats of reserved categories of Haryana shall be converted and offered to General Category candidates alongwith other net resultant vacancies in the 3rd Phase counseling.

Registration for counseling would be done on www.tehadmissions.gov.in. A candidate shall be allowed for change of his/her registration details on the counseling websites as and when required before locking of choices during counseling period. In case any candidate changes registration details after submission of choices, but before locking, all choices filled earlier will be initialized and all choices will be required to be filled in again. For more details refer to Chapter no.7 in the prospectus.

It has to be retained by the candidate and after allotment of roll no. and exam centre, the candidate has to note down the same on the admit card. After completing all other formalities, the candidate should bring their admit card at the test centre for DET-2011 & DET(L)-2011 exams.

Basically we have two selective ways of admissions in our degree courses:

On-Line Entrance Test (OLET), Score cards of All India Level Test (AIEEE, MAT)

OLET :

for these exam one need to pay entrance fee through any mode of payment by using www.HSTES.org / www.HSTES.in and then get registered on www.onlinetesthry.nic.in to generate admit card and give the OLET at the various centers by using the same website www.onlinetesthry.nic.in

These exams include the 90 objective Questions of 1 mark each with 90 minutes duration. The subjects of exam are given in the admission booklet also. No negative marking is there for wrong answers.

Anyone can also appear for their mock OLET for their practice purpose easily by visiting at the www.onlinetesthry.nic.in

Online entrance test fee for OLET-2010 is Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) and shall be deposited by the candidate through www.HSTES.org / www.HSTES.in in the account of Haryana State Technical Education Society. As soon as candidates registers and pays fees on www.HSTES.org / www.HSTES.in, he/she gets the Roll No for appearing in OLET (B.Pharma-10). Candidates has to deposit the OLET (B. Pharma) fee of Rs. 500/- using this Roll No. The same Roll No. by which the fee has been paid is to be quoted/used for all future purpose. Candidates without depositing this fee shall not be considered for online entrance test. Candidates have to deposit this OLET fee before OLET registration on www.onlinetesthry.nic.in

One need to clear OLET for the courses like, MCA,BHM & CT, B. Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy(Leet), B.E/ B.Tech (Leet)

All India Level Tests (AIEEE, MAT):-

For MBA we accept the score card of Management Aptitude Test (MAT) which is taken by All India Management Association (AIMA) 4 times in a year.

For B.E/ B.Tech we accept AIEEE taken by CBSE once in a year.

The MBA & B.E/B.Tech candidates need not to give any entrance exam, and they can directly participate for counseling process at www.tehadmissions.gov.in just by paying counseling fees on www.HSTES.org

Candidate need to registered 3 times during the process of admission in degree programs.

1. 1st Registration should be after buying or downloading the admission booklet. Now candidate need to register on www.HSTES.org / www.HSTES.in by clicking on Payment registration option.

At this point of registration candidate will get the Roll No. immediately on the web page as well as on their mobile phone & e-mail I.D which they have filled during this registration.

The main purpose of this registration is to pay the various fees in admission process.

2. 2nd Registration is on www.onlinetesthry.nic.in for appearing the OLET exams. This should be done only after paying the entrance exam fee. By doing this 2nd registration a candidate will be able to get the admit card & Online examination center and can appear for OLET exam.

3. 3rd Registration is on www.tehadmissions.gov.in for participating in Online Off-Campus Counseling by Selecting, Filling & Locking your Courses & Institutions Choices. Registration for counseling would be done on www.tehadmissions.gov.in A candidate shall be allowed for change of his/her registration details on the counseling websites as and when required before locking of choices during counseling period. In case any candidate changes registration details after submission of choices, but before locking, all choices filled earlier will be initialized and all choices will be required to be filled in again. Locking of submitted choices is compulsory.

Registration will be allowed only before first counseling. No fresh registration would be allowed after first counseling, so candidates willing to participate in online off-campus counseling will have to register before the first counseling as per the dates mentioned in “Key Dates”. On registration, password has to be created by the candidates, for use in future logins, candidates are advised to keep records of this password secretly for their own use in future only and not to disclose this to others. In the event of sharing of password, candidate will be solely responsible for the change of registration details, choices etc.

Counseling fee for participation in online off-campus counseling is Rs. 500/- and is non-refundable. It is mandatory for all the candidates participating in online counseling to deposit this counseling fee through www.HSTES.org / www.HSTES.in

Click on Pay Now link on Confirmation page to proceed the fee payment or student can also do the payment later by click on Counseling Fee link, once he completes the Registration Process.

Counseling fee shall be deposited by the candidate using the same Roll No. as used for paying OLET fee.

To participate in subsequent 1st, 2nd & 3rd counseling, candidates will have to refill the choices in the order of priority on the counseling website www.tehadmissions.gov.in

Without depositing the amount of Rs. 500/- in the bank again. Admission procedure i.e. filling of choices of Branch/Institute shall remain the same. Incase seat is allotted in 2nd & 3rd subsequent counseling; the earlier allotted/reported seat will be cancelled. Thus candidates are advised to fill the choices in order of priority only to upgrade. The candidates who wish to retain the reported seat shall not opt for subsequent counseling.

Three Counseling will be conducted for admissions as follows:

1st Counseling - By the NIC for these seats for General & Reserved Categories

2nd Counseling - By the NIC for General & Reserved Category Candidates, after inter conversion of reserved category seats.

3rd Counseling - By NIC, without any reservation for AIC and HOGC only.
